About Me
My name is Sinead McDonald creator and owner of The Browtique. I started ‘The Browtique’ back in 2012 after completing a Business and Marketing degree, and not being overly keen in working in an office environment. I had a desire to do something a bit more creative, but just hadn’t figured out exactly what at this point. I’ve always loved the idea of being my boss, or entrepreneur I suppose you could say, creating my own working days designed around my lifestyle. I’d always had a keen interest in the Hair & Beauty Industry growing up, working in hair salons and dabbling in makeup application for family and friends.
Back in 2011/2012 I noticed a really big brow trend developing, one that I felt myself becoming obsessed with. I was always on the lookout for niche markets and following the latest trends, I knew it would be the next big thing to hit the beauty industry. So I completed the HD Brow course, and began immediately working for myself.
My business had taken off very quickly meaning that I had to move from rented spaces in other salons to then opening my own premises and even employing other staff members in under 1 year. I started all of this to create a life that I loved, and to hopefully inspire others, especially my young son that anything is possible and always follow your passion & dreams. I get to do exactly this all whilst providing an excellent service to others.

We recently branched into education, developing an online Brow Course to adapt in the changes & restrictions brought in with COVID-19. Masterclasses are also available where We also believe in educating our customers on how best to use our products at home using various techniques we have learned over the last 10 years.

The next step for me was to take The Browtique to the next level by branching into Cosmetics, and I’ve recently designed and developed my own Brow cosmetics range. After more than 8 years specialising in eyebrow design and running my own successful business, I feel this is the next right step for me. I want people to leave with something they can use to up keep their brows after their treatment.
Clients always asked me what product I used on my brows and what I would recommend and I was always honest, this in turn means I have built up a great rapport and trusting relationship with my clients. I have tried every brow product on the market as most women and girls have these days and I am a bit of a product junkie.
This is when I saw a gap in the market for the perfect eyebrow product, I had tried and tested so many other products and had never found one I truly loved. I then decided it was time for me to create my own bespoke range of cosmetics for eyebrows, over the years I have learnt so much about the importance of high quality products on the skin and especially when they are teamed up with high quality applicators. This is when I knew I had to design my own eyebrow and make-up brushes.
